The 2022 Schedule for Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween Is Here!

What’s your favorite thing about Halloween? Is it the candy? The costumes? The spooky decorations? For me, it’s the horror movies on TV. I love being able to turn on my TV at just about any hour of the day (or night!) and catch a fun genre film. It gives me a chance to revisit some old favorites and check out some lesser-known titles that have slipped through the cracks for me, so every year, I excitedly wait for the Halloween-themed schedules from various channels like AMC and Syfy.

So naturally, when I found out that Freeform had officially released their “31 Nights of Halloween” schedule, it pretty much made my day. This horror-centric programming block spans the entire month of October, and while it’s not 24/7, it’s still more than enough to get my Halloween season started off on the right foot.

As we’ve come to expect, “31 Nights of Halloween” isn’t going to feature anything too hardcore. Freeform is a family channel, so don’t expect them to show anything like Friday the 13th or Martyrs. Instead, their October schedule will focus more on kid-friendly titles, such as Frankenweenie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Hocus Pocus, so if you have any young kids in your life who you’d like to introduce to the horror genre, you’re going to want to pay attention to this schedule.

On top of that, “31 Nights of Halloween” is also going to have a few treats for adults as well, like Ready or Not, A Quiet Place, and a whole bunch of “Treehouse of Horror” episodes of The Simpsons. So whether you’re an old genre veteran or a young kid taking your first small steps into the horror world, Freeform is sure to have something for you this October.
