October may still be a month away, but it’s never too early to start preparing for the spookiest time of year. There are costumes to get ready, parties to plan, dusty decorations to bring down from the attic, and horror movie marathons to schedule. These things take time, and it’s always better to get them done early than to risk running out of time.

And apparently, the folks over at Freeform subscribe to that same philosophy. They just released their annual “31 Nights of Halloween” schedule, so if you’re wondering what cool horror and horror-adjacent movies they’ll be showing in October, you’re in luck. As always, Freeform’s Halloween programming is going to focus more on child-friendly gateway horror like The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Addams Family, but if you’re looking for something a bit more mature, don’t fret.

Just like last year, Freeform’s “31 Nights of Halloween” is also going to include a couple of more adult-oriented titles, like Ready or Not and some “Treehouse of Horror” episodes of The Simpsons. There’s a little something for everyone, even for the non-horror fans among us, so mark your calendars and get ready for this awesome October tradition.
