What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 Is Coming This Summer!

I’m not a huge horror TV guy. I much prefer watching movies, but there are a few shows I really love, like Ash Vs Evil Dead, The Haunting of Hill House, and Midnight Mass. I’m also a big fan of What We Do in the Shadows, and I’m happy to report that the next season of the hilarious vampire comedy is set to debut this summer. The official What We Do in the Shadows Twitter account just announced that season 5 will begin on FX on July 13, and each new episode will also be available on Hulu the day after it airs.

I’m super excited by this news, but I have to be honest, I actually just started watching What We Do in the Shadows pretty recently. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original film, so I figured the series wouldn’t be for me either. But then a friend of mine said the show was a lot better, and he suggested I give it a shot. I was intrigued, so I put it on my ever-expanding list of things to watch at some vague point in the future.

From there, it took me a while to actually check it out, but when I did, I was hooked almost right away. I fell in love with the characters right from the very first episode, and the comedy hit me in a way few contemporary TV series ever have. It quickly became one of my favorite shows of all time, and now, I absolutely can’t wait to check out season 5.

Much like the original movie, What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary about a group of vampires who live together in a house on Staten Island, and it follows them as they go about their normal daily (or, more accurately, nightly) lives.
