A New Jordan Peele Movie Is on the Release Calendar!

If you were to rank the most beloved horror filmmakers working today, Jordan Peele would definitely sit near the top. In fact, he might actually hold the number one spot. His movies are super popular, and not just among hardcore horror fans. General audiences love his work too, and he even has an Oscar on his shelf. This guy is the real deal, so a new Jordan Peele film is always a huge pop culture event.

And now, we know when Peele-mania is going to hit the movie world again. Universal has just added an untitled Jordan Peele film to their release schedule, and it’s going to come out on December 25, 2024. Unsurprisingly, Peele and the studio are being super tight-lipped about the upcoming project, so we don’t know anything about it. We don’t know what it’s going to be called, who’s going to star in it, or what it’s going to be about. Hell, we don’t even know if it’s going to be a horror movie, but given Peele’s previous films, it’s a pretty safe bet that this next one will at least be horror adjacent.

Three characters standing

To be fair, I’m sure some people will think this news has a few too many unknowns to be of any interest, and I totally understand why. It can be tough to feel much of anything, positive or negative, when we know next to nothing about a project, but in a somewhat paradoxical way, I think that’s actually what makes this news so exciting. After only three films, Jordan Peele has already made such an impact on the fan community that we don’t even have to know anything about his next movie to get excited. He’s so good that just hearing that it’s going to happen, even if it’s still 21 months away, is enough for us, so it’s great to hear that a new film from such a talented auteur is one step closer to hitting theaters.
