All Jacked up and Full of Worms Debuts New Trailer Ahead of November VOD Release

The psycho-horror All Jacked Up And Full of Worms unveiled a new trailer and announced the film will be coming to Bloody Disgusting’s streaming service Screambox on November 8th, 2022. Cinedigm is also planning a wide digital release on November 8th followed by an exclusive window on Cinedigm’s indie discovery platform Fandor.

It originally debuted at Fantasia Fest and received a special jury mention from the festival’s New Flesh competition. Prior to that, it will be screened at several more film festivals, including Austin’s legendary genre event Fantastic Fest on September 27th, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival on October 19th, and the Chicago International Film Festival on October 21st. A limited theatrical release is planned to follow sometime in the future.

The debut feature from Chicago writer/director Alex Phillips follows a maintenance man named Roscoe working at a seedy motel (Phillip Andre Botello, The Art of Self-Defense) who discovers hallucinogenic worms and, along with his new lover Benny (Trevor Dawkins, Easy) embark on a tale of sex, violence and “becoming one with the dirt.” Described as combining retro grindhouse thrills with the depths of underground cinema, it’s sure to be a love-it-or-hate-it for many horror fans.

The trailer shows several unusual and interesting sights, including a giant, floating worm, a baby doll they treat as real, and a woman finding herself pregnant and squishing her stomach. I wonder if this takes a Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke angle, or leans more towards Brain Damage. The giant worm doesn’t speak in the trailer, but it could very well do so in the film! I also love that the summary ends with [and they]…”slither into the primordial ooze.” I’m hoping for some full-on bathtubs of goop, and Hagfish levels of snotty-grossness.

All Jacked Up and Full of Worms also stars Eva Fellows, Mike Lopez, Carol Rhyu, and Sammy Arechar. The film was produced by Phillips, Georgia Bernstein, and Ben Gojer.
