Benson and Moorhead Are Back in the Something in the Dirt Trailer

I’ve been looking forward to Something in the Dirt for a while now. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are two of the best and most exciting horror filmmakers working today, and they’re not showing any signs of slowing down. They’ve given us some amazing modern classics like Spring and The Endless, and they even worked on some of the best episodes of the Marvel show Moon Knight. So naturally, I absolutely can’t wait to see their upcoming project Something in the Dirt, and I’m happy to announce that we’ve finally gotten our first trailer for it. Here’s what the film is about:

Two new neighbors witness what seems to be a supernatural event in one of their apartments. At first terrified, they realize that documenting this phenomenon could provide them the lives they’ve always dreamed of.

That’s admittedly a super vague plot synopsis, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Benson and Moorhead’s movies always take a lot of unexpected twists and turns, so I don’t want to know more about the plot of this one. I want to learn about it as it unfolds before my eyes, and if this trailer is any indication, Something in the Dirt is going to be an absolute wonder to behold.

The trailer is basically just a bunch of loosely connected shots from the film, so it doesn’t give away any spoilers, but it still manages to give us a little taste of what we can expect. It promises some amazing visuals and gives us a tiny peek into the mystery that’s going to embroil these two main characters, and for my money, that’s all it needs to do.

It’s an almost perfect piece of marketing, so my excitement for Something in the Dirt has gone through the roof. I absolutely can’t wait to see it, and luckily, that wait isn’t going to be very long. The film is currently set to hit theaters on November 4.
