The First Ever Puppet Combo Direct Announces Consoles Ports, New Games

Indie Horror darlings Puppet Combo have unleashed their first-ever Puppet Combo Direct, giving fans a look at what’s to come in 2022. We’ve recapped everything here, but check their Youtube channel for the full video, including extended gameplay. It features tons of references to horror films and is a treat to watch! Self-described as “nostalgic and terrifying,” their games, alongside the Torture Star Video publishing label, are hard to beat when it comes to indie horror titles.

Bloodwash, developed by Jordan King (Black Eyed Priest Games), is the tale of a laundromat with a sordid past will be coming to Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles sometime this fall. We reviewed the original Steam release here.

Stay Out Of The House is coming to Steam sometime next month (July 2022). Inspired by classics like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you’ll be tasked with surviving an encounter with a cannibalistic serial killer known as THE BUTCHER in a spooky house. Complete with a variety of weapons and hiding places, alerting the mass murderer to your presence. Wishlist the game on Steam!

The Booty Creek Cheek Freak (say that 5 times fast) remains a Patreon-exclusive, with Collin reviewing it for Hobs last month. The butt-faced slasher has become a favorite for horror live streamers, and who can blame them!

Jordan King’s next title, Night at The Gates of Hellwas unveiled and will release on August 18th. Inspired by Italian zombie flicks of the 70s, the game promises to be “a blood dripping, neon-soaked, flesh rotting experience.” Keeping with tradition, they’ll be “slow zombies” but that doesn’t make them any less terrifying, as they can only be killed with a direct shot to the head. Aim carefully! A demo for the game will launch on Patreon at midnight.

The novelization of Murder House is available to purchase on Puppet Combo’s website and Amazon. It is the third in the VHS Terrors book series, all penned by Regina Watts. A triple pack of all three titles is also on sale.

Deadly Night stars Carol, a down-on-her-luck hitchhiker forced to stay the night at a creepy motel. She soon learns the owner is harboring some deep secrets as she fights for her life. Deadly Night is releasing on August 11th on Steam.

Nun Massacre Definitive Editon is an updated version of the game for Steam and Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch consoles. If you already own the game, the update is free. New storylines and scenarios, not to mention new nuns, are sure to give you a scare. Pray you get away!

Finally, The Power Drill Massacre is getting a full release this October on Steam with new endings, improved controls, and an additional campaign to play.

Another console port was reportedly slated for this direct but was pulled at the last minute, so we have even more scares to look forward to in the future!
