WORLD OF HORROR Gets Massive Update, Available Now

WORLD OF HORROR, the cosmic horror indie title from developer panstasz and publisher Ysbryd Games, has received a massive update, fittingly titled “THE CEASELESS CURSE.”

The update adds two new mysteries, one involving a friend with a dark secret. The other will have you exploring a mansion full of sinister paintings. New modding features have been added, allowing you to craft your own mysteries, create characters, and chain together events. Two new characters, a Witch and an Ex-Cultist join the roster, bringing the total playable characters up to 11. New character exclusive events expand on backstories and roles within the cursed city. New challenges and city planning options are also available.

Heavily inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Junji Ito, WORLD OF HORROR is a deeply customizable horror game with a high replay value due to its many difficulty levels, random events, and challenges. It incorporates classic adventure game controls with rogue-like elements and puzzle-solving. Learn ancient spells, wield makeshift weapons, and investigate monsters disguised as humans as you make your way through a small town discovering what effect the Old Gods have had on this seemingly peaceful seaside village.

The modding community for WOH is extremely talented, creating many new features to take the cosmic horror title to new worlds.

panstasz is a one-man studio located in Poland and run by Pawel Kozminski. WORLD OF HORROR was a passion project that took over five years to create in between his day job as a dentist. The art was designed entirely in MS Paint. Cassandra Khaw provided additional writing. It was originally released as an Early Access title to Steam, Itch.io, GOG, and the Microsoft Store on February 20th, 2020. Nintendo Switch and Playstation versions are forthcoming.

“THE CEASELESS CURSE” update is available today. The full, 1.0 release is expected sometime in 2022.
